{"id":1379,"date":"2012-04-09T10:20:18","date_gmt":"2012-04-09T14:20:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mitcet.mit.edu\/?p=1379"},"modified":"2024-12-19T15:31:26","modified_gmt":"2024-12-19T20:31:26","slug":"monday-april-9-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mitcet.mit.edu\/2012\/04\/09\/monday-april-9-2012\/","title":{"rendered":"Monday, April 9, 2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>1.\u00a0\u00a0Plan for Symposium on Online Education: \u00a0\u00a0\u201c<strong><em>Online Learning for MIT Education: \u00a0At the intersection of Residential Learning and MITx\u201d,<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0<\/em>(Working title) on\u00a0<strong>May 24, 2012, 2:00 &#8211; 5.00.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are planning a workshop\/symposium on May 24, 2:00-5:00 directed towards understanding the impact and implications of the online initiatives\u00a0that have been launched\u00a0(MITCET Alumni supported projects) for curriculum, learning, infrastructure as well as the intersection with MITx, with a view towards identifying and addressing the research issues and scaling considerations.<\/p>\n<p>Discussion on:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Desired\u00a0Outcomes<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0Key Themes\/Topics to address<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0Program and Format.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0Key participants<\/p>\n<p>(A draft program will be presented for discussion)<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0 MITCET Experiments:<\/p>\n<p>Context: So far MITCET has launched 3 Experiments: Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry and Aero\/Astro.
